It's true.
For the second time in a short space of time, I was caught in a crazy rainstorm when I was completely unprepared.
Picture the scene: I'm going out to see the Hannah Montana movie with my friends. On my way out the door, I realised that I didn't have my purse. So I spent a frantic ten minutes emptying out my school bag and ringing my mum to see if she knew where it was. In the end, I found it and it was all good. I left the house and just as I got to the end of my road, it started raining. Not a lot, but a bit. I didn't have time to go back for an umbrella and it's only a five minute walk to the train station, so I thought I'd be okay. But after I'd walked just a little further down the road, it started raining. A lot. Like, so much it was actually hurting my skin. And I was wearing a skirt. But I really didn't have time to go back, so I just wrapped my cardie around myself and ran to the train station.
After sitting through the entire film, I had to go to the toilets to dry my cardie under a hand-dryer because it was still wet. By the time I got home, my skirt was still wet. It was ridiculous. And both my friends were completely dry. It was not fun times.
And then, on the way home, we were harassed by this Irish guy on the other platform. I was eating a bag of Mini Cheddars (because cinema nachos just aren't filling enough) and when I finished them, I smoothed out the bag and folded it up which is something I always do. And he called over "Thanks for the crisp" or something like that. I didn't know whether to ignore him, so I did the stupid thing and went, "Pardon?" And then he started rambling on about "Thanks for the potato chip or whatever it was" and I was like, so what, I'm meant to offer my food to everyone on the station, both on my platform and the one on the other side of the train tracks?!?!?!?!?!?! My friend decided that he was saying, "Thanks for inventing crisps" but that made even less sense. And then he was like, "Oh, my train's here now, so bye" and we were like, "Erm...bye?" It was weird.
But Hannah Montana was very enjoyable.
I'm sorry for this really long ranting blog...but the rain and the Irish guy really irked me (I love that word...'irked', not 'me').
And now I think I'm going to go and buy some dark chocolate, because I've been craving it for about three days now.
Bye
